The thermostat had a message stating that there was no power. He assured me that the system would perform better than when they arrived. I pointed out that his company was still working on the system, and in fact was going to do all the work that it would take to install a new system, but instead was re-installing an old system that had been demo’d (and poorly treated during the demo). He again noted that Abacus was not insured to work on a multi-family dwelling. Even though the unit was operational, the technician convinced her to replace the unit as the unit was R-22 and she would breathe easier with a new air handling system. ![]() On April 14th, 2021, my mother-in-law ( a 76 year old woman on oxygen and other medical issues) contacted Abacus to have the AC unit for her first-floor condo unit serviced.
